Page down on Windows
Press the Page Down key to scroll down by one visible screen — the content shifts up by roughly a full window, keeping a few overlapping lines for context. Page Up reverses it. In browsers and most PDF readers the Space bar does the same thing, and Shift+Space scrolls back up.
Page down on Mac
Most Mac keyboards have no dedicated Page Down key, so press Fn+↓ (Fn + Down Arrow) to scroll down one screen, and Fn+↑ to go back up. On a full-size Apple keyboard the Page Down / Page Up keys work directly. The Space bar also pages down in Safari, Chrome and Preview.
Jump straight to the top or bottom
To skip the whole document instead of one screen at a time, use Ctrl+Home / Ctrl+End on Windows, or ⌘↑ / ⌘↓ on Mac. See also go to top and go to bottom.
